Educational Psychologist – Statutory SEN Specialist

About the role

The London Borough of Redbridge is looking for qualified Educational Psychologists to join its Educational Psychology Service. You will provide statutory SEN advice as part of the Education, Health and Care Needs Assessment (EHCNA) process, working directly with children, families, schools and professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct face‑to‑face psychological assessments in schools, educational settings and family homes.
• Produce evidence‑based psychological advice using the Redbridge EHC template.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure confidentiality in line with service procedures.
• Collaborate with the SEND team, families, schools and other professionals to meet statutory deadlines.
• Contribute to inclusive, child‑centred practice and uphold Redbridge quality standards.

Required profile

• Honours degree in Psychology.
• Post‑graduate qualification (MSc or Doctorate) recognised by BPS and AEP.
• Registration with HCPC or eligibility for registration.
• Significant experience working with children, young people and educational settings.
• Strong knowledge of SEN legislation and EHC assessment processes.
