Electric Installation Lecturer

About the role

This permanent, full‑time position offers an experienced Electrical Installation professional the chance to transition from industry into further education. You will teach Level 3 programmes, apprenticeships and adult learning courses, delivering both workshop‑based and classroom instruction to develop the next generation of electricians.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality teaching and assessment for Electrical Installation up to Level 3.
• Prepare learning materials, schemes of work and mark learner submissions in line with awarding body standards.
• Monitor, track and review learner progress, setting SMART targets to support achievement.
• Maintain high standards of attendance, behaviour and achievement among learners.
• Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement activities.

Required profile

• A Level 3 qualification or higher in Electrical Installation or a related discipline.
• Significant industry experience within the electrical sector.
• Passion for supporting and developing learners.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Teaching qualification and Assessor Award, or willingness to obtain them.
