Electrical and Mechanical Training Instructor

About the role

Our client, a leading marine training provider, is seeking an experienced Electrical and Mechanical Training Instructor to deliver hands‑on workshops to naval students. You will play a key part in modernising the Royal Navy's training programmes, working within a collaborative team of ten instructors.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver practical electrical and mechanical engineering workshops to groups of up to 16 marine students.
• Work closely with Learning & Development to continuously improve course content and delivery.
• Support the broader instructor team in driving quality and learning improvements.
• Contribute to the development of new training modules aligned with modern marine standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in electrical testing, hand‑tool use, soldering and general tool handling.
• Results‑oriented mindset with a focus on quality and delivery improvements.
• Team player with experience leading or collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.
• Understanding of business strategy and ability to propose practical solutions.
• Level 4 teaching certificate or equivalent (desired).
• Eligibility for UK Security Clearance at SC level.
