Electrical Engineer – Automated Manufacturing (Edinburgh)

About the role

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our highly automated bakery in Edinburgh. You will support a fast‑paced, high‑volume production environment, ensuring our iconic biscuits are made safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and improve electrical systems, automation equipment and control panels across the site.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical faults to minimise production downtime.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement projects that boost equipment reliability and efficiency.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to implement technical solutions and upgrades.
• Support compliance with health, safety and quality standards in a food‑manufacturing setting.

Required profile

• A recognised Electrical Engineering qualification, preferably with an apprenticeship.
• Experience in a manufacturing, production or industrial environment.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and attention to detail.
• Proactive attitude with a commitment to ongoing learning.
