Electrical Engineer – Maintenance (4‑on/4‑off Shifts)

About the role

An exciting opportunity with a leading UK industrial and logistics organisation operating critical infrastructure across multiple sites. As an Electrical Engineer you will carry out planned and reactive maintenance on heavy plant, machinery and specialist handling equipment, diagnosing faults, minimising downtime and ensuring compliance with legislation and safety standards. The role works on a 4‑on, 4‑off 12‑hour shift pattern and offers development of multi‑skilled mechanical and electrical capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform planned and reactive maintenance on heavy plant, industrial machinery and specialist handling equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical faults to minimise equipment downtime.
• Ensure all equipment complies with current legislation and health‑and‑safety standards.
• Work 12‑hour shifts (4‑on, 4‑off) and provide occasional support to nearby operational sites.
• Develop mechanical and electrical skills while progressing towards LV and HV authorisations.

Required profile

• Time‑served electrician with experience maintaining heavy plant or industrial machinery.
• Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic abilities.
• Experience in a fast‑paced operational or manufacturing environment.
• Comfortable working at height and following safe systems of work.
• Commitment to high health‑and‑safety standards.
• Flexibility to support nearby sites when required.
• High‑Voltage and three‑phase experience advantageous.
