Electrical Engineer – Projects Team (Camberley)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join the Projects Team of a global engineering organisation. The role involves delivering electrical and automation solutions across a diverse portfolio of industrial projects, supporting the full lifecycle from design through to commissioning and customer support.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the subject‑matter expert for all electrical aspects of multiple engineering projects, ensuring delivery on time, to specification and within budget.
• Review and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, control philosophies and equipment schedules, working closely with suppliers.
• Specify, procure and manage control panels, instrumentation and other electrical equipment, monitoring supplier performance.
• Support factory acceptance testing, on‑site commissioning, troubleshooting and post‑installation activities.
• Collaborate with project managers, sales teams and subcontractors on quotations, bids and costings.

Required profile

• HNC/HND or degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
• Proven experience delivering electrical engineering projects in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of UK electrical standards, schematics and instrumentation.
• Confident communicator comfortable in customer‑ and supplier‑facing situations.
• Experience with control systems and control panels.
