Electrical Engineer – Renewable Energy (Leeds/Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join a fast‑growing renewable‑energy developer. Based in Leeds with a hybrid working model, you will help deliver cutting‑edge projects that accelerate the UK’s transition to net‑zero.

Key responsibilities

• Lead electrical input on early‑stage projects, including feasibility studies and capacity optimisation.
• Drive grid‑connection applications and negotiate with DNOs and National Grid, reviewing offers and ensuring compliance with G99/G100 and the Grid Code.
• Develop high‑level designs such as single‑line diagrams, protection schemes and earthing systems, and define employer’s requirements.
• Identify risks, constraints and opportunities that affect project value.
• Manage consultants, OEMs and EPC partners to maintain technical and commercial alignment.
• Support due‑diligence, tender preparation and supplier selection.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in UK renewable‑energy, power or energy‑infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of LV, MV and HV systems and grid‑connection expertise.
• Ability to review technical designs and influence key decisions.
• Commercial awareness and solid engineering judgement.
