Electrical Engineer Surveyor – Inspection Consultancy

About the role

The Electrical Engineer Surveyor will join a leading inspection consultancy to ensure the safety and longevity of electrical installations across the Central Belt of Scotland. Working on-site, you will assess wiring and plant equipment, identify defects early and help clients meet UK regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out quality assessments and inspections of fixed wiring installations and electrical plant.
• Produce detailed reports documenting findings and corrective actions.
• Verify customer compliance with relevant electrical regulations.
• Operate safely in hazardous environments (COMPEX) and travel door‑to‑door as required.
• Work Monday‑Friday with flexible hours.

Required profile

• Minimum Level 3 Electrical Engineering qualification.
• Significant practical experience as a domestic or industrial electrician.
• Experience working in hazardous environments.
• Strong ability to communicate complex technical issues.
• Residence within the Central Belt for an easy commute to Edinburgh or Glasgow.
• Desirable: NVQ Level 4 or equivalent.
