Electrical Engineering Lecturer

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Electrical Engineering Lecturer to join our team in Barrow‑in‑Furness. You will teach Level 1 to Level 3 electrical engineering programmes, combining theory‑based lessons with practical workshop sessions.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging theory lessons across a range of electrical engineering subjects.
• Support and supervise practical workshop activities where appropriate.
• Plan and deliver learning experiences that meet awarding body requirements.
• Assess student work and provide constructive feedback.
• Create a positive, inclusive and safe learning environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high teaching standards.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or an HNC in Electrical Engineering.
• Relevant industrial experience within the electrical engineering sector.
• A passion for developing others and sharing technical knowledge.
• Teaching qualification is desirable but not essential.

Required skills

• Electrical Engineering knowledge.
