Electrical Estimator

About the role

Armstrong Knight is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join its growing commercial team in the South East. You will play a pivotal part in preparing competitive tenders for a variety of commercial and industrial electrical projects, working closely with clients, consultants and internal delivery teams.

Key responsibilities

• Produce detailed electrical estimates from drawings and specifications.
• Review tender documentation and identify project requirements.
• Carry out take‑offs and develop cost plans.
• Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Prepare comprehensive tender submissions within agreed deadlines.
• Liaise with clients, consultants and the internal delivery team.
• Identify value‑engineering opportunities where appropriate.
• Support successful handover of projects to the operations team.

Required profile

• Previous experience as an Electrical Estimator.
• Strong knowledge of commercial electrical installations.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Proactive, organised and solutions‑focused approach.

Required skills

• Experience using estimating software (advantageous but not essential).
