Electrical Field Service Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an Electrical Field Service Engineer to join a leading industrial services client in the Midlands. The role involves travelling to customer sites across the UK to install, commission, and maintain electrical and electromechanical equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and complete service visits in line with manufacturers' recommendations.
• Position, install and commission equipment at customer locations.
• Identify and report sales opportunities to Head Office.
• Provide technical support to colleagues and customers.
• Maintain high quality standards and report any quality issues.
• Undertake extensive UK travel and occasional overseas trips.
• Plan and execute sales visits to existing and prospective customers when time permits.

Required profile

• Health & Safety certification.
• Customer accreditation experience (e.g., UKPN, National Grid, London Underground).
• Physically fit for manual handling tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Electrical and electronic fault finding.
• Electromechanical installation.
• Knowledge of 18th Edition electrical standards (desirable).
• CSCS and UKPN Person qualifications (desirable).
