Electrical Field Service Engineer – Medical Devices

About the role
This permanent position is for an Electrical Field Service Engineer specialising in medical equipment. You will join a newly opened branch in Southampton, supporting mobile, hybrid and relocatable medical accommodations for the NHS and private healthcare providers.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out routine electrical maintenance, inspections, testing and repairs on medical devices.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical faults on a range of equipment.
- Travel across the South of England and occasionally nationwide to service NHS and private sites.
- Participate in on‑call rotations (1 in 4 weeks) with additional call‑out pay.
- Plan work two weeks in advance while responding to reactive maintenance requests.
Required profile
- City & Guilds 2391 qualification.
- 18th edition Electrical Engineer certification.
- Willingness to commute mainly within the South of England and travel nationally when required.

What we offer
- Salary £40,000‑£50,000 per year (OTE up to £55,000).
- Overtime, D2D pay and 1.5× overtime rates.
- £200 weekly on‑call allowance.
