Electrical Field Service Engineer – £49,500 + Company Car

About the role

Join a leading UK gas infrastructure business as an Electrical Field Service Engineer, supporting safe and reliable energy delivery across the South West. You will work on a variety of electrical and instrumentation systems, travelling to multiple sites while developing your technical expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Install, commission, maintain and repair LV systems, motors, transformers, actuators and standby generators.
• Carry out planned maintenance in line with safety and statutory requirements.
• Diagnose faults, perform repairs and ensure equipment reliability.
• Prepare technical reports and provide guidance to internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Support and oversee contractors and third‑party suppliers as needed.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional departments to meet operational objectives.
• Stay updated on industry standards, technical developments and best practices.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
• 2391 Inspection & Testing qualification or equivalent.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Proven experience as an Electrical Field Service Engineer, Industrial Electrician or Maintenance Engineer.
• Willingness to join a 24/7 standby rota.
