Electrical & ICA Estimator – Process & Water Projects

About the role

Trant Engineering is seeking an experienced Estimator to develop accurate electrical and ICA cost estimates for process and water sector tenders. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure bids are competitive, technically sound, and aligned with project delivery requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Attend site visits to understand existing treatment processes, control philosophy and constraints.
• Prepare detailed electrical and ICA cost estimates using RIB Candy, including single‑line diagrams, load, cable, instrumentation and IO schedules.
• Analyse designs with Amtech/Trimble software and define work and supply packages.
• Identify project risks, maintain a risk register and contribute to tender programmes.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers and procurement to capture assumptions, obtain material pricing and support pre‑construction cost input.

Required profile

• HNC/HND or degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience as an estimator on engineering, construction or infrastructure projects, preferably in process or water treatment.
• Strong numerical, analytical and stakeholder‑engagement abilities.
