Electrical Improver – Sub‑Contract (Luton)

About the role

We are seeking a self‑employed Electrical Improver to join a clean‑room fit‑out project in the Luton/Dunstable area. The role starts immediately, with the first five weeks focused on containment fitting, followed by second‑fix, testing and wiring tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Install containment systems, metal trunking, baskets and trays.
• Fit trapeze support systems and use Lindapter systems to hang rods from the ceiling.
• Carry out second‑fix support, testing and wiring after the containment phase.
• Read and interpret electrical and technical drawings.
• Maintain a high standard of quality and safety on site.

Required profile

• Self‑employed CIS subcontractor with own tools and van.
• Up‑to‑date certifications: NVQ Level 2 or 3, ECS, IPAF operator licence, CSCS card.
• Strong attention to detail, quality‑focused and safety‑conscious.
• Able to work independently and as part of a small team.
• Available to start immediately (Tuesday 7 July).

What we offer

• Pay rate £16‑£18 per hour (negotiable based on experience).
• Standard 8‑hour days, Monday‑Friday with optional Saturday overtime.
