Electrical Installation Lecturer (Part‑Time/Full‑Time)

About the role

Reed FE is seeking an Electrical Installation Lecturer to join its network of colleges, prisons and training providers across South East England. The role can be part‑time or full‑time on a temporary basis, delivering high‑quality electrical installation education to learners aged 16‑19 and apprentices.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess electrical installation lessons in line with curriculum standards.
• Provide constructive feedback and support to learners, helping them achieve qualifications.
• Manage challenging behaviour and maintain a safe learning environment.
• Interact with 16‑19‑year‑old students and apprentices in classroom or workshop settings.
• Maintain accurate records, assessment documentation and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Teaching qualification (e.g., AET, PTLLS, PGCE or Certificate in Education).
• Assessors’ qualification (e.g., A1, D33/D34, CAVA, TAQA, IQA).
• Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Electrical Installation.
• Ability to manage challenging behaviour.
• Experience working with 16‑19‑year‑old learners or apprentices.
• Level 2 (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
