Electrical Installation Lecturer (Temporary, 24h/week)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified electrician to join Hertford Regional College on a temporary basis as an Electrical Installation Lecturer. The role involves delivering 24 hours of teaching per week at the Broxbourne campus, starting 7 September, and supporting learners to develop both practical and theoretical knowledge in electrical installation.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver practical and theoretical electrical installation lessons.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Prepare teaching materials and resources in line with curriculum standards.
• Collaborate with fellow staff to enhance the learning experience.
• Maintain a safe and engaging classroom environment.

Required profile

• Passion for teaching and strong interpersonal skills.
• Professional qualification in Electrical Installation up to Level 3.
• Good maths and English proficiency.
• Experience or interest in teaching within further or higher education.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Electrical Installation (practical and theoretical).
• Use of IT systems for lesson planning and assessment.
