Electrical Instructor – Military Training

About the role
Babcock is seeking an Electrical Instructor to deliver high‑quality electrical engineering training for military trainees at MOD Lyneham, near Chippenham, Wiltshire. You will play a key part in preparing the next generation of defence engineers, supporting national security and operational readiness.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver electrical training sessions using modern teaching methods and equipment.
- Monitor trainee progress, provide feedback, and deliver remedial instruction where needed.
- Assess trainees through written tests and practical evaluations.
- Maintain safety standards, ensure compliance, and manage equipment accountability.
- Update course materials to reflect current standards and technology.
Required profile
- Supervisory experience in a technical or engineering environment.
- Proven experience working with electromechanical equipment.
- Knowledge of power generation and distribution systems, including single‑phase and three‑phase.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Security Check (SC) clearance.
- HND or equivalent in an engineering discipline such as electronics or electrical systems.
