Electrical Maintenance Engineer – 12hr Shifts

About the role

We are seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a well‑established heavy manufacturing company in Bicester. You will be responsible for both planned and reactive electrical maintenance on production machinery and plant equipment, working on 12‑hour shift patterns.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on control panels, motors, sensors, drives, contactors and relays.
• Diagnose and resolve faults in PLC‑controlled systems.
• Support new machinery installations, electrical upgrades and continuous‑improvement projects.
• Collaborate with the wider engineering team on site‑wide projects and upgrades.

Required profile

• Experience working in a production environment with a strong health & safety focus.
• Proactive problem‑solver with good communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Relevant engineering qualification or equivalent experience.

• Electrical maintenance
• Fault finding on control panels, motors, sensors, drives, contactors and relays
• PLC systems
• Planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance
• 17th/18th Edition electrical qualification or similar
