Electrical Maintenance Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a large, long‑standing engineering team at the New Holland plant in Basildon. The role operates on a weekday rotating shift basis (Monday‑Friday) with no permanent night work, a 1‑in‑9 on‑call rota and overtime paid at time‑and‑a‑half. You will support production by maintaining and improving a wide range of electrical systems, from legacy plant infrastructure to modern automated equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on industrial electrical systems.
• Maintain ageing plant infrastructure, heating system controls and automated machinery.
• Service LV/HV power distribution, lighting and power systems (110V, 240V, 415V).
• Manage building management and BEMS systems.
• Diagnose faults and perform repairs on industrial power and control equipment.

Required profile

• Certification to current wiring regulations (minimum 17th/18th Edition).
• Proven experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong background in industrial power and control systems, fault finding and repair.
• Ability to work effectively in a shift‑based environment.

What we offer

• Salary £40,000‑£50,000 per year (or £22.50‑£27.50 per hour).
