Electrical Maintenance Engineer

About the role

Join a specialist engineering team that keeps production running safely and reliably in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. You will work a Panama shift pattern, alternating two weeks of day shifts (6:30 am‑6:00 pm) with two weeks of night shifts (6:30 pm‑6:00 am).

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults on production equipment.
• Support safe and efficient operation of specialist machinery.
• Work with hydraulic, pneumatic and drive‑chain systems.
• Replace and align bearings.
• Assist with fabrication and welding tasks as required.
• Collaborate with colleagues to minimise downtime.

Required profile

• Mechanical engineering background with experience in manufacturing.
• Level 3 qualification in a mechanical engineering discipline.
• Strong commitment to health and safety best practice.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Flexibility to work in a busy, hands‑on environment.
• Experience of fault finding on hydraulic, pneumatic and drive systems.
• Desirable: completed apprenticeship, HNC/HND, heavy‑manufacturing experience, arc/MIG welding, basic electrical control systems knowledge.
