Electrical Maintenance Technician – Attractions (Surrey)

About the role
Join a specialist engineering team responsible for keeping some of the UK’s most iconic attractions safe and operational. As an Electrical Maintenance Technician you will work in a dynamic outdoor environment, handling a wide variety of ride control systems, PLCs and electrical infrastructure.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out daily safety inspections, testing and pre‑opening checks on electrical systems and attractions.
- Perform planned preventative maintenance to maximise reliability and performance.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical faults using a logical, methodical approach.
- Respond quickly to breakdowns and operational issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Maintain and troubleshoot PLC‑controlled equipment and automated systems.
- Work across rollercoasters, water rides, themed attractions and associated electrical infrastructure.
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers and operational teams to ensure safety and availability.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings and manuals.
- Accurately complete maintenance records and compliance documentation.
Required profile
- Experience in electrical maintenance within manufacturing, industrial, FMCG, automation or similar environments.
- Strong electrical fault‑finding and diagnostic capability.
- Hands‑on approach with excellent problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to stay calm and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Relevant Level 3 electrical qualification (or equivalent).
