Electrical Project Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an Electrical Package Engineer to join Kier’s Hogsmill Surrey team. The role supports Thames Water capital projects, focusing on water‑recycling facilities, and offers a blend of on‑site and remote work with a 45‑hour week.

Key responsibilities

• Define client requirements and deliver effective electrical engineering solutions.
• Engage with suppliers and support contractor delivery and commissioning.
• Provide expertise for electrical distribution systems, motor control centres and hazardous‑area designs.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Apply technical judgment during construction while maintaining health and safety standards.

Required profile

• At least an HND qualification in electrical engineering.
• Experience in electrical design on capital projects.
• Knowledge of motor control centres and electrical distribution systems.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multi‑disciplinary team.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on quality and problem‑solving.
