Electrical Qualified Supervisor – £50k‑£60k

About the role

Our client is a specialist contractor delivering electrical and building services to housing associations, local authorities and private sector clients. They are seeking an experienced Electrical Qualified Supervisor to maintain electrical standards, compliance and quality across planned, reactive and refurbishment projects.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the Qualified Supervisor, ensuring all electrical works are completed safely, compliantly and to a high standard.
• Oversee electrical installations on a variety of projects, including new builds, refurbishments and reactive works.
• Ensure compliance with BS 7671, Building Regulations and health‑and‑safety legislation.
• Review inspection, testing and certification documents to confirm compliance.
• Carry out quality inspections and provide technical guidance to electricians and site teams.
• Identify and resolve technical issues, defects and non‑compliant work, arranging remedial action where required.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and other stakeholders on electrical compliance matters.
• Support management with technical advice, audits and ongoing electrical compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an Electrical Qualified Supervisor or in a senior electrical role.
• Level 3 Electrical Qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) and 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
• Relevant Inspection and Testing qualification.
• Strong understanding of BS 7671 and related electrical regulations.
• Experience delivering electrical works for housing, local authority or commercial projects.
• Attention to detail with a focus on quality, safety and compliance.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with electricians, clients and contractors.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Additional qualifications in EV charging, hazardous areas or low‑carbon technologies are advantageous.
• Full UK driving licence.

• Level 3 Electrical Qualification (NVQ Level 3).
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations knowledge.
• Inspection and testing competency.
• Proficiency with BS 7671 standards.
• Familiarity with EV charging systems (advantageous).
• Knowledge of hazardous‑area electrical work (advantageous).
