Electrical Qualifying Supervisor

About the role

Ian Williams is seeking a fully qualified Electrical Qualifying Supervisor to join its trades team working on residential properties across Bristol, Swindon and the South West. You will deliver high‑quality electrical testing, repairs and certifications while providing exceptional customer service to homeowners.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out ongoing electrical testing (EICRs) and repairs in occupied residential properties.
• Check, sign off and certify electrical work completed by other electricians.
• Notify building control of any new installation works.
• Ensure kitchen and bathroom electrical installations meet quality standards and complete post‑installation inspections.
• Validate electrical repairs, small works and test & inspection reports.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation (C&G 2357 or equivalent).
• Level 3 in Initial and Periodic Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations (C&G 2391‑52).
• Knowledge of the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
• Experience working in a domestic environment and comfortable in occupied homes.
• Flexibility to join an on‑call rota for emergency out‑of‑hours work.
• Full UK driving licence.

Required skills

• Electrical testing and inspection (EICR).
• Electrical certification and sign‑off procedures.
• Understanding of BS 7671 18th Edition wiring regulations.
• Proficiency with C&G 2357 and C&G 2391‑52 standards.
