Electrical Qualifying Supervisor (QS) / Electrical Compliance Manager

About the role

This senior position leads the electrical compliance function for a growing building technical services provider. The Electrical Qualifying Supervisor ensures all works meet NICEIC and UK regulatory standards while supporting clients, subcontractors and internal teams across multiple commercial contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the company’s Electrical Qualifying Supervisor, guaranteeing compliance with current electrical regulations and industry standards.
• Oversee Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) and manage testing & inspection activities on site.
• Support and manage NICEIC audit requirements, ensuring accurate certification and documentation.
• Serve as the technical point of contact for clients, liaising with subcontractors and monitoring service delivery.
• Conduct subcontractor audits, performance reviews and attend client meetings as required.
• Lead the Electrical Department, performing site inspections, quality audits and assisting Health & Safety initiatives.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers and supervisors, and oversee PAT testing and quality assurance inspections.

Required profile

• Recognised electrical apprenticeship (time‑served electrician) and NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent.
• City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing qualification (or equivalent).
• Previous experience operating as a Qualifying Supervisor or Senior Electrical Supervisor.
• Strong knowledge of testing, inspection, certification and NICEIC audit processes.
• Full UK driving licence with ability to travel across multiple client sites.
