Electrical Shift Technician – High‑Rise Tower (London)

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Electrical Shift Technician to join the on‑site Facilities Management team of a flagship high‑rise commercial tower in the City of London. The role works on a continental shift pattern, covering both days and nights, and offers excellent overtime opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain low‑voltage power distribution, floor distribution boards, and lighting control systems (DALI/KNX) across all floors.
• Service emergency lighting and small‑power systems.
• Carry out routine checks, belt changes and basic fault finding on HVAC equipment such as air handling units, fan coil units, pumps, pressurisation units and water‑treatment systems.
• Monitor the Building Management System (BMS) to adjust temperature/flow set‑points and respond to alarms.
• Assist with weekly testing and inspections of fire alarm, sprinkler booster pumps and smoke extraction systems.
• Respond promptly to tenant requests, temperature complaints and minor building‑services faults.
• Follow RAMS, Permit‑to‑Work and Lockout/Tagout procedures for all work.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations (essential) plus 18th Edition qualification.
• Experience working in commercial office environments.
• Eligibility to live and work in the UK.
