Electrical Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join a well‑established organisation in Gloucester. The role blends office‑based duties with regular site visits, ensuring electrical works are delivered safely, compliantly and to a high standard.

Key responsibilities

• Review completed electrical works and verify compliance with regulations.
• Sign off and issue certifications such as EICRs, Minor Works Certificates and Emergency Lighting Certificates.
• Conduct desktop audits using photographic evidence and certification reviews.
• Perform property inspections and post‑completion audits.
• Shadow engineers on site to maintain quality and performance standards.
• Provide technical guidance to the electrical team and support contract managers with compliance objectives.
• Lead annual NICEIC assessments and liaise with auditors and accreditation bodies.
• Undertake surveys for new work quotations and attend client meetings.
• Deliver training, toolbox talks and continuous professional development activities.
• Maintain engineer supervision records in line with NICEIC requirements.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
• AM2 qualification.
• Knowledge of the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Experience with 2391 Test & Inspection (or equivalent).
• Minimum 3 years’ experience within social housing.
• Strong understanding of electrical compliance and EICR requirements.
• Excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
