About the role
1st Step Solutions is supporting a National Tier 1 M&E contractor on a 12-month contract for an experienced Electrical Supervisor on a school project in Portsmouth. The successful candidate must hold a Gold Approved Electrician card.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee electrical work and site electricians, scope work and order materials
- Issue permits and ensure electrical safety rules are followed
- Coordinate the installation and supervise contractors and subcontractors, making sure they are trained and follow H&S procedures
- Conduct toolbox talks, complete schedules of work and schedule materials to deliver the programme of works
- Liaise regularly with managers and report on all site works
- Manage variations and ensure the installation is of high quality and snag-free
- Carry out site surveys and manage paperwork such as RFIs, method statements, risk assessments, site diaries and progress reports
Required profile
- Gold Approved Electrician card
- SSSTS/SMSTS
- Previous supervisory or management experience
- Previous experience on commercial projects
