Electrical Support Engineer – Technical Support Role

About the role

We are looking for an Electrical Support Engineer to provide technical expertise across the lifecycle of complex electrical and electro‑mechanical systems. The role combines fault diagnosis, technical investigations, product improvement and project delivery within a highly regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support electrical engineering activities across a range of projects and products.
• Conduct fault‑finding, root‑cause analysis and technical investigations.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation, engineering records, BOMs and work instructions.
• Assist design, component selection, reverse engineering, testing, validation and verification activities.
• Investigate customer complaints, warranty claims and non‑conformances, delivering corrective actions.
• Perform condition assessments, failure analysis and generate technical reports.
• Collaborate with production, quality and supply‑chain teams to drive continuous improvement.
• Provide technical support on UK and occasional international customer projects.

Required profile

• HNC/HND or degree in Electrical, Electronics, Avionics or a related engineering discipline.
• Experience in electrical engineering, technical support, design, maintenance or product engineering roles.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, testing, diagnostics and fault finding.
• Proven ability to conduct root‑cause investigations and produce technical reports.
• Capability to interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation.
