Electrical Technician – Building Services

About the role

We are seeking an Electrical Technician to join NG Bailey’s Facilities Services team at the iconic 1 Broadgate building in the City of London. The role involves maintaining and repairing electrical and mechanical building services to ensure a high‑quality, safe environment for our client.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver excellent service by monitoring performance, taking corrective action and escalating issues to the Contracts Manager.
• Carry out Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) for mechanical and electrical plant in line with agreed programmes and SLAs.
• Maintain low‑voltage distribution and lighting systems as a Low Voltage Authorised Person (LVAP).
• Ensure technicians complete PPM and reactive work within agreed timelines and document all activities.
• Cost and complete reactive works identified during PPM.
• Provide service support, develop client relationships and supervise sub‑contractor work where required.
• Complete all required job sheets, certificates and compliance documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in electrical maintenance within a building services environment.
• City & Guilds Part 1 & 2, AM1/AM2 or equivalent Level 3 Electrical qualification.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations knowledge.
• LVAP certification (HVAP desirable).
• IOSH Working/Managing Safely and familiarity with PTW and RAMS procedures.
