Electrical Technician - Light Commercial Vehicles

About the role

e-ppl supplies managed services to automotive OEMs across the UK and overseas, acting as a specialist contractor for launch support and quality campaigns. It is looking for skilled and experienced Electrical Technicians to support its customer in Staffordshire on an ongoing contract basis, installing electrical components on light commercial vehicles.

Key responsibilities

• Install lights, lamps and beacons
• Fitting and testing reverse sensors and alarms
• Wiring and fitting electrics to install tow bars
• Fitting and installing wiring looms
• Modifying electrical circuits, building looms and installing them
• Diagnose faults and rectify them
• Remove and refit trim and components

Required profile

• High school diploma and auto electrical qualification certificate or equivalent
• Proven work experience as an Electrical Technician
• Ability to work in confined spaces
• Good communication skills, able to work independently and efficiently
• Own electrical tools: multi-meter, crimping tools, socket set, electrical screwdrivers and trim tools

What we offer

• Pay of 19.80 GBP per hour, overtime at 24.75 GBP after 40 hours
• Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, with possible overtime
• Ongoing contract paid via a limited company or umbrella (outside IR35)
• Commutable from Solihull, Coventry, Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Tamworth and Leamington
