Electrical Test and Inspection Engineer

About the role

Join PHS Compliance as an Electrical Test and Inspection Engineer, delivering fixed‑wire testing and comprehensive electrical inspections for customers across the UK and ROI. You will work on a variety of installations, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance while providing high‑quality reports.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) and fixed‑wire testing on customer sites.
• Perform emergency lighting testing, fire alarm inspections, mains analysis and thermal imaging.
• Execute small remedial repairs as required.
• Complete and submit certification reports using cloud‑based software within agreed timeframes.
• Travel to sites across the Republic of Ireland and the UK, including occasional overnight stays.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds 2360/2330 Part 1 & 2.
• City & Guilds 18th Edition, 2391/2394/2395 qualifications.
• AM2 certification and experience in an electrical testing environment.
• Full UK driving licence (≤6 points) and IPAF 3a & 3b licences.
• Willingness to work 40 hours per week, including evening/twilight shifts.
• Good IT literacy and understanding of UK health‑and‑safety regulations.
