Electrical Test & Inspection Engineer – £38k + Bonus

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Test & Inspection Engineer to join our team in the Dorset area. You will be responsible for testing, inspecting and certifying electrical installations across a range of client sites, ensuring compliance with UK regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out inspection and testing of electrical installations (EICRs).
• Perform emergency lighting testing, fire alarm inspections, mains analysis and thermal imaging.
• Undertake minor remedial repairs where required.
• Prepare reports and certifications using cloud‑based software.
• Submit all documentation accurately and on time.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds 2360/2330 Part 1 & 2.
• City & Guilds 18th Edition, 2391/2394 & 2395.
• AM2 qualification.
• Experience in an electrical testing environment and with electrical installation or project work.
• Strong understanding of UK Health & Safety regulations.
• Good IT literacy.
• IPAF 3a & 3b licence.
• Full UK driving licence (maximum 6 points).
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evening/twilight shifts, and travel when required.
