Electrician – 3 Month Contract in West London

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Electrician to join the Estates & Facilities team of a leading NHS Trust in West London on a three‑month contract. You will be responsible for maintaining and improving electrical systems across multiple healthcare sites, ensuring safety and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance, fault finding and installation of electrical plant and building services.
• Work on fire alarm, nurse call, CCTV, access control, lighting and power distribution systems.
• Ensure compliance with HTMs, statutory regulations and NHS standards.
• Act as a Competent Person for LV systems where required.
• Use CAFM/mobile systems to manage and close work orders within SLAs.
• Participate in a 24/7 on‑call rota and emergency response.
• Support contractor management and enforce safety procedures.
• Undertake testing, inspections and planned preventative maintenance.

Required profile

• Completed electrical apprenticeship or equivalent NVQ Level 2 or 3 / City & Guilds 18th Edition (BS7671).
• Strong experience in commercial or healthcare environments, particularly with LV systems and building services plant.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, reactive environment.
• Full UK driving licence (desirable).
• Previous NHS or healthcare experience (desirable).
• Electrical inspection & testing qualification (e.g., 2391) (desirable).

What we offer

• £19.21 – £21.28 per hour (umbrella rate).
