Electrician – British Steel Shutdown (2‑week contract)

About the role
Shorterm Group is seeking approved electricians for a two‑week shutdown project at the British Steel site in Lackenby, Redcar. The role is full‑time for 50 hours per week and follows the JIB agreement.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out electrical installation, maintenance and testing on the shutdown site.
- Ensure all work complies with health, safety and industry standards.
- Collaborate with the site team to minimise downtime and meet project milestones.
- Document work performed and report any issues to the supervisor.
Required profile
- Valid ECS Gold Card.
- CCNSG certification.
- Previous experience on industrial shutdowns is desirable.
- Ability to work on a fast‑paced, temporary project.
