Electrician – Full‑time role in Crawley

About the role

We are seeking a skilled electrician to join our team in Crawley on a full‑time, permanent basis. The role involves hands‑on maintenance, repair and installation of electrical systems across both void and occupied domestic properties, ensuring safety and compliance for residents.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out reactive repairs to lighting circuits, sockets, fuse boards and other electrical systems.
• Inspect and test installations to verify safety and regulatory compliance.
• Diagnose faults and replace components such as switches, outlets, light fittings and circuit breakers.
• Respond to emergency call‑outs, including out‑of‑hours work when required.
• Install, service, repair and maintain electrical systems in a range of domestic properties.
• Communicate clearly with tenants or residents about work carried out and expected outcomes.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas and adhere to health and safety policies.
• Use IT systems to manage, prioritise and complete workload efficiently.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations (including AM2).
• City & Guilds 18th Edition (or 17th Edition with support to upgrade).
• Inspection and Testing qualification (e.g., 2391, 2394 or 2395).
• Full UK driving licence with a clean record.
• Previous experience in domestic or social housing environments.

Required skills
