Electrician – Progression to Project Engineer (Kendal)

About the role

This permanent position is for an experienced Electrician who wants to transition into an office‑based Project Engineer role. Based in Kendal, you will work Monday to Friday (7:30 am‑4:30 pm) with no weekend or overtime requirements, supporting commercial and industrial electrical projects.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with customers to capture project requirements and specifications.
• Oversee the delivery, installation and commissioning of control systems on site.
• Produce accurate technical drawings and documentation for each project.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams and external clients to ensure timely, high‑quality delivery.
• Support the transition from hands‑on electrical work to project engineering responsibilities.

Required profile

• Qualified Electrician or equivalent with 18th Edition, BS 7671 (or 2391) installation qualifications.
• Desire to progress into a Project Engineer role.
• Ability to commute to Kendal.

Required skills

• Electrical installation (18th Edition standards).
• Control system commissioning.
• Technical drawing creation and interpretation.
