Electronics Technician – Automotive Electronics

About the role

Nortek Electronic Circuits Ltd is seeking an experienced Electronics Technician to support the development of innovative automotive electronic products. You will work from prototype through to production, helping bring new vehicle control solutions to market.

Key responsibilities

• Support design, testing and documentation of new automotive electronics.
• Assist with prototype builds, test rigs and initial validation of electronic designs.
• Create wiring loom drawings, build documents and Bill of Materials for production.
• Program Atmel, Microchip and STM devices and perform board‑level fault finding.
• Carry out minor PCB modifications and basic designs using Altium or KiCad.
• Produce and edit case drawings in AutoCAD.
• Provide on‑site installation and technical support for customers across the UK.

Required profile

• Solid hands‑on experience in electronics manufacturing or development.
• Qualification in Electronic Engineering or a related field.
• Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving abilities.
• Full UK driving licence (maximum 3 penalty points).
