Embroidery Operative & Driver

About the role

We are seeking an Embroidery Operative / Driver to join a friendly, family‑run business in Ashford. The role blends embroidery production, stock handling and local deliveries, offering a varied day‑to‑day routine.

Key responsibilities

• Operate commercial embroidery machines, loading garments and setting threads, needles and machine parameters.
• Monitor production runs, check finished items for quality and accuracy, and pack and label orders.
• Prepare garments and products according to customer specifications.
• Load and unload deliveries, carry out local collections and deliveries using a company vehicle.
• Handle manual stock movements, lift and move boxes, and maintain a clean, organised work area.
• Support general business tasks and follow health‑and‑safety procedures.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence.
• Physically fit for regular manual handling and lifting.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work both independently and within a small team.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Flexible and proactive attitude.

Required skills

• Commercial embroidery machine operation.
• UK driving licence.
