Embroidery Production Operative

About the role
We are looking for a skilled Embroidery Production Operative to join our team in Horsham. You will work with a range of multi‑head embroidery machines, preparing garments and ensuring each piece meets our high quality standards. This is a full‑time, on‑site position offering a dynamic environment for a detail‑oriented professional.
Key responsibilities
- Set up machines by loading designs, selecting thread colours, and preparing needles, bobbins and backings.
- Hoop, frame and stabilise shirts, hats and jackets to prevent shifting during stitching.
- Monitor machines during runs to detect thread breaks, tension issues or design errors.
- Inspect finished items to confirm they meet studio specifications.
- Perform routine cleaning, oiling and part replacement to keep equipment in optimal condition.
- Track and reorder threads, backing materials and blank apparel to maintain production flow.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet delivery deadlines.
Required profile
- 1–3 years experience operating multi‑head embroidery machines (e.g., Tajima, Melco, SWF).
- Comfortable standing for long periods and able to lift boxes and materials.
- Excellent colour vision and attention to detail.
- Basic computer literacy for reading digital work orders.
