EMEA Accountant

About the role

The EMEA Accountant will support financial operations across Europe, the Middle East and Switzerland for a mid‑sized aerospace and defence organisation. Based in Silchester, this permanent role offers exposure to international finance processes and a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial reports and statements in line with regional regulations.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Maintain accurate general ledger entries and perform account reconciliations.
• Support VAT reporting and compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
• Collaborate with international teams to streamline financial processes.
• Monitor and analyse financial data to identify trends and variances.
• Contribute to audit preparation by providing necessary documentation.
• Enhance internal controls and ensure adherence to company policies.

Required profile

• Degree in accounting, finance or a related discipline.
• Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA (or working towards one).
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Experience in industrial or manufacturing environments is desirable but not mandatory.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
