EMEA Cost Controller – 12‑Month Maternity Cover

About the role

This temporary position supports Nomura’s EMEA Cost Management Analytics team, providing cost control and financial analysis for a 12‑month maternity cover. Based in London, the role works closely with senior finance leaders across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, analyse and present P&L cost analytics, supporting month‑end close, accruals and pre‑payments.
• Provide insight into cost drivers and variances to budget for senior management.
• Produce cost decks for the regional CFO/CAOs, covering cost variances, allocation MI and EMEA‑specific analysis.
• Partner with stakeholders including the regional CFO, Deputy CFO and business units to deliver scenario‑based modelling and headcount analysis.
• Liaise with global CMA colleagues on ad‑hoc projects, issue resolution and analytical advice.
• Support project workstreams, year‑end budgeting and rolling monthly forecasting for the EMEA region.
• Identify and implement opportunities for automation and process improvement.

Required profile

• Experienced financial professional with a background in cost control or finance analytics.
• Ability to work in a London office at least two days per week.
• Strong business partnering skills with senior finance leaders.
