EMEA Payroll Manager – 10‑Month Contract, Hybrid

About the role

We are looking for an experienced EMEA Payroll Manager to lead payroll operations across 12‑14 countries on a 10‑month contract basis. The role is hybrid, requiring two days per week in our Hammersmith office, and offers the possibility of permanent employment for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for multiple EMEA jurisdictions.
• Oversee statutory reporting, audits and compliance with local regulations.
• Manage payroll vendor performance against SLAs and governance standards.
• Act as the escalation point for payroll issues and resolve them swiftly.
• Lead, coach and develop a team of 5‑6 payroll analysts.
• Drive payroll transformation initiatives, system improvements and best‑practice implementation.
• Oversee stock options, RSUs and incentive‑related payroll activities.
• Partner with HR, Finance and senior business leaders to meet statutory deadlines and audit requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing payroll in a multi‑country EMEA environment.
• Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, tax and compliance across several jurisdictions.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop payroll teams within a large organisation.
• Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail.
• Experience working with payroll systems, preferably SAP.

• Day‑rate up to £397 per day via an umbrella company (equivalent to £77k permanent).
