About the role

Join HCRG Care Group as an Emergency Care Practitioner Band 7 on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract supporting the Chippenham Hospital Minor Injury Unit. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team delivering urgent minor injury and illness care to the local community.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clinical assessment and treatment for minor injuries and illnesses in the Minor Injury Unit.
• Collaborate with nurses, paramedics and support staff to ensure safe, high‑quality patient care.
• Work with partner organisations such as the Royal United Hospital Bath and other specialist units across the BSW region.
• Cover maternity leave staffing needs, with flexible working across sites as required.
• Adhere to NHS Agenda for Change terms, including the Band 7 salary and pension scheme.

Required profile

• Professional registration and advanced practice credentials in emergency care.
• Experience working in a fast‑paced emergency or minor injury setting.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and across multiple sites.
• Willingness to work shifts from 08:00 to 20:30, seven days a week.
