Emergency Nurse Practitioner

About the role

The NHS Lothian team at Western General Hospital is seeking an Emergency Nurse Practitioner to join a highly skilled nursing family. This role combines clinical expertise with leadership, delivering compassionate care to patients presenting to the emergency department.

Key responsibilities

• Provide advanced assessment, diagnosis and management for emergency department patients.
• Lead and support nursing staff, fostering a collaborative and empowering environment.
• Maintain professional and managerial responsibility for patient outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with NHS policies, PVG Scheme requirements and relevant criminal record checks.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the department.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with appropriate qualifications to practice as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Demonstrated experience in emergency care and acute patient management.

• Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom and willingness to undergo required background checks.
