Employability Team Leader – IPS Connect to Work Programme

About the role

The Employability Team Leader will head a dedicated team of Employment Specialists delivering the Connect to Work programme in Barnet. This community‑based position focuses on supporting individuals with disabilities, health conditions, and learning difficulties to secure sustainable employment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop Employment Specialists, providing regular supervision and clinical mentoring.
• Monitor and drive performance against KPIs, addressing underperformance with constructive plans.
• Ensure service delivery aligns with IPS fidelity standards and contractual obligations.
• Maintain high levels of customer service, compliance and participant engagement.
• Build and nurture partnerships with Jobcentre Plus, local authorities, health providers and employers.
• Represent the programme at regional meetings and events.
• Support the Service Manager in meeting contract objectives and reporting requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading employment or support teams within a health or disability context.
• Strong understanding of Individual Placement and Support (IPS) and supported employment models.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and performance‑management skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of IPS fidelity standards and best practice.
• Experience with KPI tracking and performance dashboards.
