Employee Relations Advisor (Temporary) – Brighton

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Employee Relations Advisor to join a forward‑thinking organisation in Brighton on a temporary basis. You will play a key part in managing employee relations matters during a period of change, providing expert guidance to managers and ensuring fair treatment for staff.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance issues.
• Provide advice and guidance to managers across the business on employee relations matters.
• Support investigations, hearings and appeals, ensuring consistency and compliance with policy.
• Apply HR policies and procedures in line with current UK employment law.
• Assist with HR project work and organisational change initiatives.
• Maintain accurate documentation and case records for all employee relations activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in an Employee Relations Advisor or similar HR role.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Ability to manage a busy caseload and prioritise under pressure.
• CIPD qualification desirable but not essential.
• Availability to start immediately or at short notice.
