Employee Relations Manager

About the role

Reed HR is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Manager to join a client based at London Bridge. This hybrid role will involve managing employee relations across a complex, unionised organisation while providing expert advice to managers and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a diverse caseload of employee relations matters, ensuring timely and accurate handling.
• Provide guidance and coaching to managers on disciplinary, grievance, absence, performance and capability issues.
• Support formal processes such as investigations, hearings and appeals, and attend gross misconduct and capability hearings.
• Build strong relationships with trade union representatives to facilitate early resolution of issues.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of policies, procedures and guidance materials.
• Deliver workshops and training to improve line‑manager capability.
• Analyse trends, identify risks and advise senior stakeholders.
• Support organisational change and consultation activities in line with legislation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in employee relations, preferably within a highly unionised or complex environment.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law, ACAS guidelines and best practice.
• Ability to manage a high‑volume caseload while maintaining quality.
• Excellent stakeholder management and relationship‑building skills.
