Employee Relations Partner – Hybrid (Liverpool)

About the role

We are looking for an Employee Relations Partner to join our HR team in Liverpool on a hybrid basis. You will manage a personal caseload of employee relations matters, ensuring investigations, disciplinary actions and other processes are handled efficiently and in line with legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage employee relations cases including investigations, sickness, discipline, grievance, performance, redeployment, flexible working and retirement.
• Administer HR processes such as fixed‑term contract extensions, terminations, honoraria, FOI/DSAR requests and post‑employment amendments.
• Provide advice, guidance and training on employment matters to internal and external stakeholders.
• Liaise with trade union representatives and external agencies as required.
• Maintain accurate case records, produce data analysis and reporting to support HR objectives.
• Conduct exit interviews, analyse feedback and contribute to job evaluation and grading reviews.
• Facilitate project meetings, formal hearings, appeals and Employment Tribunal proceedings.
• Stay up‑to‑date with legal developments and best practice in employee relations.

Required profile

• Experience handling a full caseload of employee relations issues within prescribed timescales.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR policies.
• Ability to produce high‑quality reports and data analysis.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with staff, unions and external agencies.
• Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
